My name is Karo Itoje. I'm a 30 year old lady from one of the friendliest countries in Africa, Nigeria. Now some things can be said about my country that are debatable, but one thing that is certain is how welcoming and accommodating its people are; great people, great weather!
I'm a full-time online business lady. Basically the Internet is my office where I start and build different businesses (content websites). I spend a better part of my time planning, writing and publishing content on different websites, on topics I have knowledge and experience about, and blogging is one of them.
I have always love the idea of being my own boss, set up my own business and make my own money. But I never thought that I could work from home at my convenience and create different passive incomes. However the Internet has made this possible, and my journey started with blogging. I am very grateful for the opportunity, and I am sure you would too if you are willing to learn and give it sometime.
My writing started when I started noting down points whenever I read a book, magazine, newspaper, e.t.c. Not long I started typing out my opinions and writing out full articles. Later I approached a newspaper house to start running a series on a particular topic. But when a friend noticed my love for writing, he started a blog for me to start publishing my content.
Gradually the idea of profiting from my writing and working from home became really appealing to me. So I started learning more about how to make money blogging. But then I had limited time and resources. But when I got fired from my work place in late 2009 for no stated reason, I decided to put all my time into learning and building online businesses. And I haven't looked back ever since!
Being a beginner has it benefit, as it opens you to many possibilities, but it can be frustrating and confusing. With so much information out there about blogging that is misleading and contradicting, many beginners to blogging give up within their first few months of starting a blog. And the few that endure waste too much time before getting it right. I know this for sure because I wasted about 2 years before I started getting the right answers and results.
So with this website, I want to guide beginners step by step on how to start and build a successful blog, right from their thought of blogging; according to all I have learnt.
I'm still working with blogs and learning new things every day. I am realizing that it doesn't have to take so long as it used to, to start making money from a blog.
All my experiences with blogging, what worked and didn't, the new things I am learning about building online business using a blog, especially Wordpress blogging is what I share here, with the hope of helping those new to blogging or those still struggling with it, like you, to succeed with blogging in the shortest time possible. Limit your mistakes, don't spend money buying materials you don't really need, blog right and get results.
