Best Wordpress templates? When considering the best Wordpress template for your blog have KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) in mind and your goal.

There are some great free Wordpress templates and themes and one can get distracted or carried away changing from one template or theme to another.
It doesn't matter whether you use a free Wordpress template, custom or premium template. The rule for best template or theme is the same. Take the points made below into consideration.
The template or theme of your site will basically give your blog it general look.
The right template should be that, that draws your readers in. The one that makes a good first impression why Keeping It Simple Stupid (KISS).
Your template should be related to your site's theme. Your purpose for the site.
When people see your blog what do they think of? The background and everything on it should portray the blog's goal.
Your template should be search engine friendly. It should give room for adding the relevant meta tags to your blog.
You want to have at the back of your mind that what is most important is Content and more of it.
If you spend all your time searching for the perfect template, and then you eventually achieve that but no content on your site, nobody will visit your blog.
If they do, they wouldn't come back just because your blog has a great look!
After you install your blog, your blog carries the Wordpress default template designed by Michael Heilemann.
Click on 'Appearance' just by the left hand side of your Admin dashboard, this will display the current default template you are using and other Wordress templates.
To choose from the templates available on your dashboard, click on preview to see how they look, if you find any you like, then click on Activate just above it. And preview your blog to see how it now looks.
But if you can't find a template you like among the Wordpress templates in your dashboard, then you have to go for template shopping.
Go to Google and search for 'free wordpress themes', you should be able to find some nice ones for your niche that you can start with.
If you don't find anyone you like then, you may want to consider paying for a custom or premium theme.
Go to your Wordpress dashboard, by the left hand side click on 'Appearance', then click on 'Add New Themes' from the drop down.
When the page opens click on 'Upload', then click on 'Browse' to select the theme from your computer. And click on Install Now.
When it is successfully uploaded, click on Activate. View your blog, it should now carry a new template.
You can customize the theme to meet your taste.
To customize click on Editor from the drop down menu of 'Appearance' and edit as you want.
You want to be very careful here so you don't mess up your Wordpress template.
