It is very common to see many bloggers stuck for ideas on the next blog post to write on. This is because they didn't plan the content of their blog before starting the blog.
They just buy a domain name and start writing on anything that seem profitable to them.
If you carefully choose your blog topic with the blogging ideas below and do effective keyword research on the blog ideas you come up with, then you wouldn't be searching for blog post ideas everyday when you start your blog.
Brainstorming for Blogging Ideas
Brainstorming for ideas for a blog topic as a beginner can really be challenging.
"What do I write about? What do people want to read? Can I write on this topic?"
Sometime ago I visited Yahoo Answers and someone was asking:
"what kind of topic do people want to read about? I want to start a blog and so I want to know what people want to read".
Well that's the wrong question to be asking. when brainstorming for blog ideas you shouldn't be asking what do people want to read, rather ask yourself:
What am I good at? What can I give someone a lesson on?.
This is because to have your readers appreciate your blog enough to take some actions that will one way or another convert to money for you, you have to be able to reach their hearts with your content.
Your content must have a personal touch that comes only from passion, knowledge and/or experience.
If all you care about is what people are looking for right now, then you will have to set up a blog for every new trend.
That's not the way to build a lasting business online. You can't build a business on trends.
There are topics that people search for day in day out and some of the topics are areas you are good at. Those should form your blogging ideas.
You just have to think hard. Everyone they say is good at something. So find yours.
Some Brainstorming Questions for Possible Blog Topic
- What do you do everyday that gives you joy?
- What are those little things you gladly do for others for free?
- Are you just naturally good with styling hair? Dressing people up? Maintenance? Tiding? Cleaning?
- Did you learn a trade that you can teach others?
- What about what you studied in school? Can you find some blog ideas there? Are you a trained professional? People would love your help.
- Do you currently have an offline business that you are making money from? That will make a good blogging idea. Set up a blog and teach people how to make money doing what you do.
The Economy is such a mess right now. Most people are desperately looking for alternative businesses.
Oh, who said your passion must be something you love. When you are passionate about something, it doesn't necessarily mean you love that thing. You can hate something passionately :)
So what disguises you? What can't you just stand and why?
If you hate something very much, your emotion about it will easily work on others. So topics that disgust you can influence some good blogging ideas.
Though it may not be too advisable to write on something that disguises you since you may be too sensitive about it that it would affect your success in the niche.

What skills do you possess?
You can blog about anything and everything. As long as there are a good number of people searching for it online every month and you can make money from it.
These are just some questions to get you started.
Think broadly and deeply, and you will come up with more questions that can give you good blogging ideas.
Don't do all the thinking alone, ask close friends what they think you're really good at and can write about.
